The Department of Health has the
vital role of disseminating and
delivering the Government’s health policy to improve the
wellbeing
of everyone in England. You will play a central role in our strategic
management, reporting directly to the Head of Gateway Review and
Director of Estates and Facilities.
The Role
In particular, you will devote
the majority of your time to using the
Office of Government Commerce Gateway Review process to support
the delivery of projects and programmes in the Department, Arms
Length Bodies and the NHS. Your remit will also extend to harnessing
the ProCure 21 framework to drive best value and construction activity
in the NHS, making certain that functional buildings are delivered
faster, at optimum cost and address sustainability. This framework
will
be central to ensuring better patient services by creating a physical
environment to support service reconfiguration and the shift to
primary
care and community hospitals.
Naturally, you will bring a proven
track record of delivering complex
projects and programmes at senior management level. This will have
given you highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills,
impressive ability in evidence based decision-making and extensive
experience of project, programme and team leadership. Above all,
you are familiar with engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
across a range of environments, and deploying consultants and virtual
teams from other organisations to ensure effective programme delivery.
The starting salary for this position
will be in the range £55,000 to £77,000, but more may
be available for an exceptional candidate.
The position is offered on an up to two year, fixed-term secondment
with the possibility of extension, or as a permanent post. We

for the Department, embed customer focus in everything we do, and

and attitudes, develop robust measures of customer satisfaction,
create meaningful benchmarks to monitor our progress and achievements
and influence the design of a wide range of health and care policies,
to ensure the customer voice is always heard.
As you can imagine, we require
a real and rising talent for this influential role.

public sector

insight, are skilled and creative in analysing large-scale data,

The starting salary for this permanent
position will be in the range of£65,000 to £77,000,
but more may be available for an exceptional candidate.
